Yellow City Methadone Garden
Yellow City Methadone Garden
I'm pretty sure my player's favorite thing about Yoon-Suin are the assorted appendices that contain tables for things like magical tattoos, fortunes, tea and opium effects. Especially the opium. Two of my players have become in-game addicted: one remains a happy addict, but the other was hooked on a cycle of only having stimulant laced opium (so he could never rest due to addiction and we use 5E mixed with 1st AD&D rules so he was taking levels of Exhaustion from 5E). He eventually got clean using the rules in Appendix B: Opium and just survived with 1's almost across the board in ability scores. He was so harrowed by his experience that he was moved to use some of their considerable loot to help others.
Until my players rode a zaratan to Al-Qadim recently they've been pretty established under the guidance of a slug-man patron in the Yellow City and the newly recovered addict player (a druid) decided he wanted to make a recovery garden to help other addicts in the Yellow City kick the filthy habit in a spiritually engineered druid Methadone garden somewhere in the richer part of town. With any luck if they make it back the 2,000 or so miles to the Yellow City from Al-Qadim construction should be done.
