It is pointless to try to detail every cults of the Yellow City, but because there are so many it can be fun to make some of them - the large number can be freeing. Here are a few of mine. I look forward to seeing yours :)

  2. I like them...very exotic. Am happy to see another dozen. You said you had several dozens more didn’t you?

  3. Alistair Langsford thanks! And yup - need cleaning up though. And ... they aren't all as good, or complete. So a post for the future :) I have about 60 in total... I may have a problem!

  4. Ancalagon TheBlack I'm reminded of when I was working on Troika backgrounds for a competition. Once I got into it, I created half a dozen quite easily!

  5. I think Yoon-Soon lends itself to almost a “no cleric” game play and instead use the Petty Gods rules for prayer (a reaction roll) at the feet of an idol for some boon.

Or for a more BX feel, you can change the cleric’s turn undead ability to turn the unholy- where “unholy” is what the god is against. Then allow the cleric to take a specific weapon as the holy weapon of the god.

Or (what I do for my home game) is use a variation of the anger die. So a cleric has no spells but can ask for anything in the god’s domain. But they build an increasing amount of anger.

  6. Warren Denning I'm not familiar with the anger die mechanic, can you summarize it or point me to a reference please?

  7. Warren Denning I think it depends a bit on the rule set, but certainly it could be done. I'm pondering using the GLOG for the next campaign in Yoon-Suin, and if so it will be cleric less - I'll have to come up with a holyman class. In 5e, with the small size of the cults, a PC can rise to the position of high priest - or at least, most powerful priest. (in the current campaign, the PC slugman cleric Po Befi has just become the most powerful priest of the Tree of Memory).
These small gods are every hungry for sacrifice, and a high level PC should devote a not insignificant amount of money to fuel their god.
