No idea. I know where I have gone (pluspora.com) which is the non-commercial diaspora node set up by folks on Googleplus who are tired of corporate social media games. Diaspora (the network) it uses isn't perfect, and the interface has a few annoyances but it has less nazis per square mile than most of the other options out there like MeWe. I can also be found on Dreamwidth (though I post there rarely) and on Tumblr.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that communities that work the way google does are pretty much not possible on other platforms. They are closed door affairs or way too difficult to moderate. You can emulate a community on diaspora by running a dedicated server (expensive and a lot of work) or by get an account like a person for a community seperate from a personal account.
The problems and the difficulty on any of the available platforms out there is moderation and user vouching. It's why my own community (Goblin Emporium) will be shut down when googleplus goes, its not possible to research people to vouch them and the work of running a closed door and moderating it to death isn't worth it.
